FAQs

GETTING THERE

What is the address of the venue? Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004

What is the best way to get to the venue? The venue is a short walk from the Metro Center Station (exit 13th Street NW). If you drive, parking at the Reagan Building is $26/day. If you arrive via ride share, plan to enter through the security checkpoint at Pennsylvania Avenue NW or 13-1/2 Street NW for easiest access to the amphitheater.

What entrance should I use at the Ronald Reagan Building? The best entrance to the venue is at Pennsylvania Avenue NW across from Freedom Plaza. There are two security checkpoints located at 13-1/2 Street NW or Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Look for Navy SEAL Foundation Impact Forum signage to guide you to registration and the amphitheater.

How long should I allocate to get through security at the venue? Security at the venue required a screening checkpoint. To expedite the process, please plan to arrive early and remove your belt and electronics from your bag. This will assist in getting everyone through security in a timely manner in order to be seated prior to the amphitheater doors closing at 8:55am each day.

What time does the Impact Forum start and end? We will start promptly 9:00am ET each day. For those attending in-person, please allow plenty of time to get through security and registration and be seated by 8:55am. If you are earning CE credits, you’ll also need to sign in at the CE check-in. Once in the amphitheater, make your way to the center of the row so we can get everyone seated quickly. We will conclude each day by 4:15pm ET to allow for networking time with fellow attendees.

What hotels are nearby? There are several hotels within walking distance of the venue.

REGISTRATION

How do I sign up for Continuing Education credits? Details on Continuing Education credits can be found on the Continuing Education page. You will indicate the need for CE when you register. As we get closer to the conference date, you will receive a link to complete the process through our provider Strong Star.

I registered with my government email but realized I can’t access the virtual platform from that email. How do I change the email in the system to ensure I can get in to the Impact Forum from my personal address? If you need to change your email address to one that enables you to access the virtual platform, please fill out the Support Form here https://impactforum.navysealfoundation.org/support/  and we’ll make the change

Will there be an opportunity to set up a resource table at the event to showcase my organization’s work?   This year’s Impact Forum venue does not lend itself to having exhibit space. We hope that you’ll be able to connect with other attendees while at the conference and share insight on what your organization brings to Whole Warrior Health.

EVENT DAY

How important is it to be prompt? Being prompt is incredibly important at the Impact Forum. For the best attendee experience, the doors to the lower level will close at 8:55am. Those not yet seated will find open seating in the balcony. This will ensure you don’t miss the video for each segment which sets the stage for an abundance of research, insight, and information from our speakers.

Where do I go once inside the venue? Enter the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center from either the Pennsylvania Avenue NW or 13-1/2 Street security checkpoint. Follow the signs to the Amphitheater. You will find registration and Continuing Education Check-in (if applicable) just outside the Amphitheater doors.

Will I be able to plug in my laptop to take notes? No. Seating is theater-style and there are no electrical outlets in the auditorium.

What about WiFi access? WiFi access is limited. We recommend you download the agenda. You will receive a notebook and pen to help you capture what you learn. Plan to be fully present while at the Impact Forum, by limiting calls, texts, and emails to breaks.

What is the food situation for lunch? Lunch will be on your own, and attendees will have 85 minutes for lunch each day. There are many choices in the Food Court at the venue (no need to go through security again), as well as a number of eating establishments nearby (requires security screening on reentry). Plan accordingly so you return on time, as doors will close promptly in order for attendees to give their undivided attention to our presenters.

How will I get my Continuing Education credits? For those joining us in person, you’ll need to sign-in and sign-out each day at the Continuing Education table near registration. For those joining virtually, your start and end times will be recorded when you log in and log out. Our CE partner Strong Star will send you an assessment each afternoon to be completed. After the event, allow three weeks for verification, and then look for your certificate in your email.
